Scrap Tire Recycling

FBS is proud to engage in environmentally responsible scrap tire recycling resulting in eco-friendly tire derived products and by-products. Ours is the only fully licensed tire recycling facility in Massachusetts.

Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) - TDF is a fuel used by paper mills, cement processing plants, power plants and industrial boilers as an alternative to coal. Burning TDF emits fewer toxins than coal leading to lower emission of greenhouse gasses. Our shredding processes create the highest quality TDF resulting in higher burning temperatures and less residual waste.   

Reclaimed Steel - Steel is one of the most recyclable materials today. A single scrap tires may contain up to 20% steel. FBS reclaims the steel contained in scrap tire resulting in less waste during the shredding process.
