Our Process

We’ve been recycling scrap tires for more than 25 years. We have the technology and a proprietary process to recycle the tire, including the steel wire.

Step 1 - Inspection

We inspect and assess scrap tires that arrive at our licensed facility.

Step 2 - Separation

We separate the tires into three categories for processing.

Step 3 - The Shredder

For tires without rims, we shred them whole then feed them into our tire shredder.
For tires with steel and aluminum rims, we recycle the rims and then shred the tires.

Oversized tires require a little prep work. First, we cut them into smaller pieces and then feed them into our tire shredder.

Step 4 - The Grinder

The shreds get fed into our tire grinder, producing two products: tire-derived fuel (TDF) and a magnetic wire fraction.

Final Step

Finally, we send the magnetic wire fraction to our other location, BDS Tire Recycling, Inc., to separate wire from the rubber.
